BOSS Controls LLC, a leading Internet of Things (IoT) energy management and controls company, announced today that it will be deploying its Energy Efficiency Solution on the main campus of Westmoreland County Community College (Westmoreland), Youngwood, PA.

BOSS, as a leader in energy efficiency and savings at the plug load, is committed to the reduction of the carbon footprint for all commercial property owners, schools and universities and local and state government.

The BOSS solution provides Westmoreland the opportunity to improve its energy efficiency by programing a “turn-off” schedule on numerous devices when not needed throughout the campus.  The BOSS Smart Plugs will be placed on devices including, but not limited to, snack and drinking vending machines, water fountains, and TV displays. The projected payback is less than two years, for which the College will retain all energy savings.  Westmoreland expects to deploy the BOSS solution across its other off-campus education centers.

“Energy efficiency upgrades and improvements produce long-term benefits to commercial property owners.  BOSS provides an attractive payback that is typically in the range of two years or less and well under that of even efficient LED lighting projects, which is typically beyond five years,” said Greg Puschnigg, CEO/Founder BOSS Controls.  “We are simply deploying an impactful technology solution to reduce energy use with one of the most rapid ROI payback period for commercial building owners.”

“The BOSS deployment emphasizes our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and helps get us there faster while enjoying an attractive ROI,” said Stephen Lippiello, Vice President of Administrative Services, Westmoreland.
