Our History

BOSS was founded in 2012. Our founder, Greg Puschnigg, is the former founder and CEO of Green Power Technologies, LLC and inventor of a WiFi controlled, patented smart plug that is a core element of the BOSS solutions package.

We excel in making our products easy to use, but powerful in their ability to transform our client’s energy usage and bottom line. BOSS offers a suite of commercial solutions, as well as solutions for residential use. Using unmatched technology, BOSS is a market leader in connecting devices to the cloud to provide real-time energy management and remote control with alerts from end devices anywhere in the world. BOSS intelligent product solutions are revolutionizing energy management, building automation and security market sectors. We will continue to bring the best leading-edge solutions to market using open standards and interfaces to deliver smart, affordable solutions that make sense for business.

Greg Puschnigg

Greg Puschnigg

Chief Executive Officer

Greg has held multiple senior executive positions in leading-edge technology companies including Ciena AirFiber, Intel and Powercast. Greg has invented and brought to market the first WiFi smart plug for use in the commercial sector. As President of Powercast, he launched the world’s first commercial wireless power product with sales to multinational customers and won Best of Show for new emerging technology at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show. Greg began his career as an engineering officer in the US Navy, where he held TS/SCI clearances. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. and received his M.B.A from Loyola College in Maryland.

Dan Brailer

Chief Operating Officer

Dan was credited with establishing and building WESCO’s investor relations program, from the 1999 IPO to 2015. Over his 16 years at WESCO, Dan held additional management responsibilites including Treasurer, Risk Management, Corporate Secretary, Legal, Real Estate, and Corporate Communications. Prior to joining WESCO, he worked for Mellon Bank for approximately 17 years and last served as Senior VP of the Basic Industries Group, Wholesale Banking Department. In a volunteer capacity, he served as Vice Chairman of West Penn Allegheny Health System and Chairman of the Governance Committee, and currently serves as Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee for the Watson Institute.

Mike Krummey

Mike has designed and played a key role in commercially successful products. His most notable being the world’s first all-digital electron microscope, in which he served as the principle electronics design engineer. Mike’s expansive career in design and mangement spans across the areas of scientific instrumentation, control systems and contract engineering services.

Mike has not only focused on product conception and design, but his experience extends through the manufacturing process and into customer support. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Bob has 20+ years experience driving sales across multiple industries. By creating and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships and teams, Bob has consistently fostered growth driven corporate profitability. After graduating from the United States Naval Academy, Bob spent 8 years as a Naval Flight Officer, where he flew numerous combat missions and held TS/SCI clearances. He has received a B.S. from the Naval Academy and M.B.A. from Loyola College in Maryland.
